The Conference

On 10th January 2009, 425 participants gathered at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre for a dialogue on air pollution and public health. The Conference was open to all members of the public, with simultaneous translation in English, Cantonese, and Putonghua.

The Experts Symposium

On the day before the public conference, international, Mainland and local experts on air pollution convened for an Experts Symposium on Air Quality. 81 delegates participated from a range of disciplines, including health, atmospheric science, biochemistry, public opinion, politics, economics, law, and policy.

The two events were organized by Civic Exchange and funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust under its Environment Project.
